American Accent Mentor

Welcome to American Accent Mentor! These Terms of Service govern your use of our website, americanaccentmentor.com, and our online English language instruction, American pronunciation coaching, scheduling, and related services.
By using our website, booking a lesson, or purchasing a lesson subscription, you agree to these terms.
1. Our Services
American Accent Mentor provides personalized online English instruction, specializing in American English pronunciation, accent improvement, speaking confidence, and communication skills.
Lessons are provided remotely at scheduled times. Instruction is tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning goals.
Although we strive to help every student improve, results vary depending on participation, practice, and individual circumstances. We do not guarantee a particular level of fluency, pronunciation proficiency, or accent change.
2. Scheduling and Appointments
Students may request available lesson times through our online booking system.
All appointments are subject to availability and confirmation. Selecting a time on our website does not guarantee a reservation until the booking has been confirmed.
Students are responsible for attending lessons at their scheduled times and ensuring they have a functioning internet connection, microphone, and suitable device.
Unless otherwise specified, lessons are scheduled according to the America/Chicago time zone, with applicable daylight saving time adjustments.
3. Lesson Pricing and Payments
Our standard lesson rate is $40 USD per 60-minute lesson.
We may offer individual lessons or recurring weekly lesson subscriptions.
Current weekly subscription options are:
- One lesson per week: $40 USD per week
- Two lessons per week: $80 USD per week
- Three lessons per week: $120 USD per week
Payments may be processed through PayPal or other payment providers made available on our website.
By purchasing a recurring subscription, you authorize the payment provider to charge the applicable subscription amount automatically at the stated billing interval until the subscription is canceled.
Any changes to pricing will be communicated as required before taking effect.
4. Subscription Cancellations
Students may cancel recurring subscriptions through their PayPal account or by contacting American Accent Mentor.
Cancellation stops future recurring charges according to the payment provider’s processing rules. It does not automatically refund payments already completed.
Students should cancel before their next scheduled billing date to avoid an additional charge.
Lessons already paid for but not yet completed will be handled according to the applicable cancellation and refund policy.
5. Rescheduling, Missed Lessons, and Refunds
Students who need to reschedule should contact American Accent Mentor as early as possible.
Rescheduling requests are subject to instructor availability.
Missed lessons, late cancellations, and refund requests are reviewed according to the cancellation and refund policy communicated at booking.
If American Accent Mentor must cancel a confirmed lesson, we will arrange a replacement lesson or an appropriate refund.
Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable consumer protection laws.
6. Student Responsibilities
Students agree to provide accurate contact and booking information, communicate respectfully, and use our services for lawful educational purposes.
American Accent Mentor reserves the right to discontinue services in cases of abusive, threatening, fraudulent, or otherwise inappropriate conduct, subject to applicable law and any refund obligations.
7. Google Calendar and Scheduling Integration
American Accent Mentor uses Google Calendar integrations to manage instructor availability and avoid scheduling conflicts.
Our scheduling system may access calendar availability information through Google’s authorized APIs. This information is used to determine available lesson times and manage appointments.
Access to the instructor’s personal calendar is limited to scheduling availability and is not intended to disclose private calendar event details to students.

8. Privacy and Personal Information
We collect and process information necessary to provide our services, including student names, email addresses, booking details, and payment-related transaction information.
Payments are processed by third-party providers, such as PayPal. We do not require students to provide payment card details directly to American Accent Mentor when using PayPal checkout.

9. Educational Materials and Intellectual Property
Lesson materials, instructional content, exercises, written guides, website content, and other original educational resources provided by American Accent Mentor are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Students may use materials provided to them for their own personal educational purposes unless otherwise stated.
Redistribution, resale, or commercial reproduction of proprietary materials requires prior written permission.
10. Website Availability and Third-Party Services
We make reasonable efforts to maintain the availability and functionality of our website and booking system.
However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Services may occasionally be affected by maintenance, internet connectivity, technical issues, or interruptions involving third-party providers, including Google and PayPal.
Third-party services are also governed by their respective terms and policies.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, American Accent Mentor is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the website or educational services.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service to reflect changes in our services, scheduling practices, payment options, or legal requirements.
Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes affecting existing paid subscriptions will be communicated as required by applicable law.
